Summer Solstice, 1 – 21 June 2024
New works from 21 artists were posted daily on RAG’s Instagram page for the ‘Summer Solstice’ exhibition.
The summer solstice occurs when one of Earth’s poles has its maximum tilt toward the Sun which creates the longest day and shortest night. This year it fell on the 20 June at 9.51pm, the earliest it’s been since 1796. Traditionally it’s celebrated on 21 June. See below for images celebrating summer.
