Drawing and painting are of equal significance in my practice and my approach is intuitive. My work hovers between the abstract and figurative, and an added gesture can take the work to a different place. Within it there is often a hint of primordial narrative, which manifests itself as a piece develops.

My practice includes making sculpture from recycled materials and I enjoy collaborating with other artists, particularly with oral storyteller Belinda McKenna-Bicknell.  We have developed a joint practice combining intuitive drawing and storytelling, as we respond to each other in the moment for both performances and workshops.

Originally from New Zealand, I live in Teddington, SW London and exhibit mainly in the UK.  In addition to RAG, I am a member of Kingston Artists’ Open Studios (KAOS) and Richmond Art House open studios.
