I’m inspired by capturing events as they occur without too much interference. I like to collaborate with people in creating images, but prefer to react to a given situation.

I’ve been teaching classes for many years, helping students to master the camera and to transcend the restrictions of their technical ability to create personal statements that reflect their own tastes and view of the world.

Visions Photographic 1983 – 1985

Trained under Jean Locke & John Lippett as a studio photographers assistant, colour & black and white printer and photographic laboratory technician, becoming runner up in BJP’s annual black and white printer of the year award.

Campaign Colour 1985 – 1999

Worked as a commercial colour printer with clients such as Condé Nast, printing several front covers for Vogue magazine, was also the lead printer in a project leading to the restoration of the 20th Century Fox movie Cleopatra.
